Our story
Two Mizzou students who take pride in patches you can't find
Tiger Drywall Repair was started in September 2026 by Luis Gomez and Ivan, two University of Missouri students who live a few blocks from campus. Luis grew up around a family-owned drywall repair company in the Kansas City area — the kind of business that earns five-star reviews one invisible patch at a time — and spent years watching how the work is done right: cut clean, back-block, tape with paper, three coats, dry between each, match the texture exactly. Tiger Drywall Repair brings that same standard to Columbia.
We're not a general handyman service and we're not a remodeler who does drywall on the side. Drywall, ceilings, plaster and texture are what we do all day, and that focus is why homeowners, renters and landlords in Columbia can count on a repair that vanishes under paint — for a flat price they knew before we started.

Who is behind Tiger Drywall Repair?
Luis Gomez and his business partner Ivan, both University of Missouri students living in Columbia. Luis grew up around a family drywall repair business in the Kansas City area and built its website and marketing; Tiger Drywall Repair brings the same "drywall is all we do" approach to Columbia.
Are you a franchise?
No. Tiger Drywall Repair is independently owned and operated in Columbia, MO. When you call or text, you reach one of the two owners.
Are you insured?
Yes — we carry liability insurance for residential drywall work and can send documentation before any job starts. Missouri does not issue a separate license for drywall contractors, so there is no license number to share.
Why "Tiger"?
Because we're Mizzou students and Columbia is a Tiger town. The tiger on the logo is our own — not the university's — and the stripes are a reminder that texture has to match.
Do you do painting, remodeling or handyman work?
No. Drywall, ceilings, plaster and texture only. That focus is why our patches disappear. We're glad to recommend painters and other trades we work alongside.
